Faculty profile :The teachers actively participate in academic and personal counselling of the students. The Head of the Department Ranjit Paul is the man behind the development of some specially designed software for the College like College Admission Software, Examination Software and Election Software. He also maintains the College website. The UGC Networking Resource Centre is also maintained by the Department.

Learning Resources of the Departments- Library computer and other resources:The Department has well equipped computer laboratory with 30 Intel Pentium dual-core systems with IBM X-server, and latest software’s necessary for BCA and B.Sc. (Comp. Sc.). There is also a separate networking resource centre for the students. The Department has got broadband Internet facility for learning resources. The Departmental library has also a good collection of books which are made available to the students. The department has one digital board and LCD Projector.

Modern Teaching Methods and use of ICT in teaching-learning :The faculty members make use of modern teaching methods using audio visual aids, Digital Board, LCD, Internet and software packages.

Plan of action of the department for the next five years :The department has an action plan for the next five years. It has plans for achieving the following targets:

  1. To enhance research lab facilities through research projects.

  2. To upgrade computer lab. facilities for the present courses to keep pace with the trends of the industry from time to time.
